BABL009-DrewMcLellenFor starters, Drew McLellan and I have been in a mastermind group for the past 7 years, so this interview comes from a deep understanding of who Drew is at his core. It was a special interview for me to do because I love Drew as if he was a brother of mine:

Twenty years ago Drew McLellan began an advertising agency that has survived ups, downs and sideways twists and turns and has supported the Bigger Life that Drew imagined for himself.

What I appreciate most about Drew is his commitment to being a Dad, and his life has been all about parenting in the best way possible for the betterment of his daughter. Listen to Drew around minute 6:00 discuss how he organized his days to make life work with his daughter.

Drew talks about investing in something for the long haul and eventually seeing the fruit of that relationship, whether it’s work or in relationships. (8:00)

One of the things that most don’t know about Drew is he has been in the front row of more Josh Groban concerts than any man his age should be. He’ll explain why around 12:00…

Because of Drew’s businesses (and a profound affinity for Disney), he’s made it a point to be within a Disney theme park at least once a year. (And has since it’s opening in 1971). Hear more around 15:00…

Asking the right questions and making correct assumptions has become part of Drew’s inner monologue. He’s begun asking better questions and finding ways to Build A Bigger Life. (20:00)

You can find more of Drew’s musings at http://DrewsMarketingMinute.com. Drew uses crazy and daily experiences (including his many airport layovers) as content in all of his writing.

Drew’s advice to the listeners:

  • Get really clear about how you want your life to be as you look back on it down the road.
  • Be absolute about the fact that it’s going to happen.
  • Set aside all make believe barriers, and decide how you’re going to make it happen.
  • The things that are in your way are of your own creation.
